What We’re All About
Welcome to United Advent Christian Church! We are a group of ordinary people who have come together from different backgrounds and walks of life with the common goal of serving the Lord Jesus Christ. He is our everything! We understand that Jesus didn’t just show us a better way to live, His sinless life, death, burial and resurrection are the very lifeblood of His church. We would love to have you join us for worship and walk with us as we follow Jesus.
Come Join Us
We invite you to come worship with us each Sunday at 11 AM.
We believe that God has called us to be a faithful church built around a simple process. To love God and to love people in obedience to the Great Commandment (Mark 12:30-31) and to make disciples in obedience to the Great Commission (Matthew 28;18-20). This is only accomplished by a great commitment to the following four priorities:
Gather
A commitment to gather regularly to encourage and to be encouraged by fellow believers, the word of God and through worship.
“let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.” (Hebrews 10;24-25 ESV)
Grow
A commitment to grow in our knowledge, understanding and love for the word of God.
Romans 12:1-2 says: “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.” (ESV)
Give
A commitment to finding our unique contribution to the world around us so that others can see Christ through our actions.
In 1 John we are reminded that real love isn’t merely in words but by the things that we do:
“Let us not love in word or talk but in deed and in truth” (1 John 3:18)
Go
A commitment to go to a needy world with the message of life only in Jesus Christ.
“Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
